Are you looking for some place special to take your sweetheart out for dinner? Well look no further for we are hosting a Friday Night Date night here at Shepherd’s Hill Farm! Don’t have a date—then bring your bestfriend or your favorite relative!
When you tour Europe there is more than just the sights to see—there is the food to experience. Here in America we are prone to use the cheapest ingredients, and cook them using the quickest method, and then we eat it on the fly. In European countries like France an Italy eating is an experience—not just a meal. They use fresh seasonal food that has integrity and quality and their cooking methods take time and love and the results are eaten slowly while savoring every bite and enjoying the fellowship of those around.
Here at Shepherd’s Hill Farm we want to bring that experience to you and we can think of no better way than a night of Italian food using seasonal foods sourced fresh from our gardens and farm and from other neighboring gardens and farms.
The night will start off with a salad made from fresh greens and veggies topped with an Italian Dressing and homemade croutons. Then there will be a pizza bar! Yes, we are teaming up with Kalacrow Woodfired Pizza. They take pizza seriously.
Their pies are hand tossed Neapolitan style 12 inch
Their dough is handmade, pre fermented, and made with 100% organic non-gmo flour, local honey, salt and water
Their vegetable toppings are organic, grown on their farm, or on our farm or neighboring farms.
The meat is sourced from their farm or our farm.
Then we will end the night with some gelato—an Italian ice cream.
This dinner takes place on our working farm—so please dress according to the weather and wear proper footwear; we suggest flat, close-toed shoes or boots. The event is held outside, so please bring layers so that you can be as comfortable as possible throughout the evening.
