Easy-Creamy Custard Pie

Blender custard pie is the recipe you reach for when you want to make a dessert—but you don’t want to make a big mess in the kitchen, or you don’t want to be too fussy with it. It is as easy as dumping all the ingredients in the blender, pouring it in a pan, baking it and letting it cool. The fascinating thing about a blender custard pie is that once the pie has cooked, all the ingredients have separated into three layers: a crust, a custard and a topping. Dessert just doesn’t get any easier than that!

So pull out your blender, gather the ingredients and lets start baking—the easy way!

Before you begin don’t forget to grease your pan, and pre-heat your oven to 350 F.

Easy-Creamy Custard Pie

  • 2 cups milk

  • 1/2 cup flour (I use Cassava flour)

  • 4 eggs (I like to use duck eggs—but chicken eggs work great too.)

  • 1/4 cup butter

  • 1/2 cup honey

  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract (or) 1-inch vanilla bean

  • Cinnamon

Place all the ingredients in the blender in order given—then run for about a minute.

Pour into a greased 9-inch pie pan, and sprinkle cinnamon over the top.

Bake for 45 minutes to 1-hour. You want a knife to come out clean when inserted into the middle of the pie.

Let it cool. Then enjoy it warm or chilled.
